The Bombay High Court increased maintenance payable by a Pune-based businessman to his ex-wife after finding that he concealed his financial strength and misled the court. The court raised monthly maintenance from ₹50,000 to ₹3.5 lakh, observing that his claim of earning only ₹6 lakh/year was "farcical". It found his family's real estate and finance empire is worth ₹1,000 crore-plus.
