National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered closure of two casting yards and a ready-mix concrete (RMC) plant owned by J Kumar Infraprojects near Sanjay Gandhi National Park, following a petition by the NGO Vanashakti. Environmental advocate D Stalin of Vanashakti highlighted negligence by state agencies. The Pune bench of NGT asserted that the RMC plant was operating without necessary permissions.
