Calcutta High Court directed cricketer Mohammed Shami to pay ₹4-lakh monthly maintenance to estranged wife Hasin Jahan and daughter. The judge said Shami's earnings showed he can pay higher maintenance. "[Jahan] who...is living independently with the child is entitled to a levelled maintenance that she enjoyed during her...marriage and which reasonably secure her [and child's] future," he added.
