The Vikhroli East-West connector in Mumbai, designed to cut commute time by 75%, is set to open on June 14 after a 28-year wait. The 615-metre bridge, costing ₹180 crore, will connect the Eastern Express Highway to Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg. "After completing the final works...we were awaiting instructions from the administration for a formal inauguration," a civic official stated.
