At least 31 journalists and media staff were killed in Israeli strikes on newspaper offices in Yemen last week. "This is a brutal...attack that targeted innocent people....armed with nothing but their pens and words," the editor-in-chief of one of the newspapers said. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has called it one of the deadliest attacks on journalists since 2009.
