Ahead of the Ganga Sagar pilgrimage from January 10 to 18 in West Bengal, the administration has decided to deploy special drones to drop food packets incase pilgrims get stranded in the Muri Ganga river. The river lies between Kakdwip and Sagar Island and such a situation may occur due to low tide, dense fog, and siltation.
