The Pakistan government is yet to notify the appointment of the Chief of Defence Forces, a position that was created after amending the constitution for field marshal Asim Munir, reports said. The post puts Munir at the helm of the army, air force and navy for a fixed five-year term. Notably, Turkey, seen as Pakistan's aide, condemned the constitutional changes.
