Central government on Tuesday appointed Anju Rathi Rana, an Indian Legal Services officer, as Secretary of Department of Legal Affairs in Central Ministry of Law and Justice. Rana became the first woman to be appointed to the post. Rana, who served as Additional Secretary until now, will serve as Secretary for a period of two years, the government notification said.
