The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is leading on 211 seats in the 288-seated Maharashtra Assembly, trends showed on Saturday. The BJP fought on 148 seats, while Shiv Sena led by CM Eknath Shinde fielded candidates on 80 seats. The NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar, that is part of Mahayuti, nominated candidates from 53 seats.
