About 26 billionaires donated over $22 million to support the campaign against Zohran Mamdani, who was elected the mayor of New York. According to Forbes, the money was spent on flooding airwaves with anti-Mamdani messages. Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings was among the people who donated. The report added that around $13.6 million was donated before Mamdani won primary in June.
