NATO member Lithuania closed its Vilnius airport on Saturday and shut both border crossings with Belarus after helium weather balloons drifted into its territory for the second consecutive day. The airport had also been closed earlier on Tuesday, Friday, and October 5 due to balloon sightings. Lithuania has said the balloons are used by smugglers to transport contraband cigarettes.
