JM Financial's MD Vishal Kampani has advised retail investors against rushing to buy shares on the listing day. He noted that many stocks see a sharp rally post-IPO because anchor investors are locked in, creating a temporary supply shortage. "You'll really see how some of these gains post-IPO play out after the [lock-ins expire]," he added.
