PM Narendra Modi visited Dehradun on Thursday to review the situation and assess the damage caused by floods and landslides in Uttarakhand. He announced an immediate financial assistance package of ₹1,200 crore for the state. Additionally, PM Modi declared an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased and ₹50,000 for those seriously injured.
