Further, he criticised Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for halting USAID grants, saying this move was "responsible for a lot of deaths". Gates' Foundation report projects under-five deaths rising to 4.8 million in 2025, up by 2,00,000 from 2024.
