Abhishek Lodha and his family, promoters of the Lodha Group, have pledged over ₹20,000 crore ($2.5 billion) towards philanthropic causes. He will transfer 1/5th of stake in Macrotech Developers to Lodha Philanthropy Foundation. Abhishek cited Tata family's 100-year-old decision to give away a major part of their shareholding in their business to the Tata Trusts as the inspiration.
