A 45-year-old Bengaluru man alleged he was duped of ₹42.62 lakh by operators of a fake cryptocurrency trading platform. The man was contacted on Instagram before being added to a Telegram group. He initially received returns from multiple bank accounts, which made the scheme appear genuine. However, he was asked for huge amounts of money to withdraw the amount later.
