Reacting to PM Narendra Modi's praise for RSS in his Independence Day speech, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said praising RSS in the speech "is an insult to the freedom struggle". "PM Modi could have gone to Nagpur [RSS headquarters] to praise RSS as a Swayamsevak, why did he have to do it from Red Fort as the PM?" he asked.
