The US Federal Reserve on Wednesday kept its key interest rates unchanged at 4.25-4.50% in the first monetary policy review of the year. The Fed noted that inflation remains "somewhat elevated" and "economic outlook is uncertain". In December 2024, the US Fed projections had shown two quarter-point interest-rate cuts in 2025.
