The Supreme Court declined to entertain a petition and lashed out at the petitioner seeking appointment as a judge of the Telangana High Court. "I'll do one thing...I'll constitute a bench of three senior-most judges for a collegium meeting," CJI BR Gavai retorted. "Where have you heard of making [such an] application? It's a mockery of the system!" he added.
