Dr. Nitin Abhivant (42), Head of Psychiatry at Pune’s Sassoon General Hospital, died from severe breathlessness during a trek with friends in Himachal Pradesh’s Buran Ghati on Monday. An experienced mountaineer, he started feeling unwell half an hour into the journey and could not be revived at base camp. He is survived by his parents, brother, wife, and an eight-year-old son.
