India on Thursday reported a single-day rise of 1,300 new COVID-19 cases, the highest in 140 days, according to the Union Health Ministry. One death each has been reported from Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The active cases in the country now stand at 7,605. The daily positivity was recorded at 1.46%, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 1.08%.
