Seven students were expelled from hostels of an Odisha government engineering college over complaints of cooking beef, which is a "restricted" activity on the premises, an official said on Monday. One of the seven students who are studying at Parala Maharaja Engineering College, was also fined ₹2,000. Police forces were deployed near the college hostels and campus as a precaution.
