Ukraine has accused Russia of repeatedly using 9M729 (SSC-8) ground-launched cruise missiles, banned under Intermediate-Range Nuclear Force (INF) Treaty, in attacks since August. The missile, which can carry nuclear or conventional warheads and has a range up to 2,500 km. One missile fired on October 5 reportedly travelled over 1,200 km, killing four people in Lviv.
