The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has received ₹80 crore under the National Disaster Management Plan (NDMP) for urban flood control. Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram stated that the PMC has planned works worth ₹600 crore in the future for disaster management in the city. A new disaster management cell has been established by the PMC with modern facilities.
