Ahead of the Ganesh festival, the Pune Municipal Corporation prepared by setting up 429 artificial tanks for idol immersion and installing CCTV cameras at various ghats. Municipal commissioner Naval Kishore Ram urged citizens to celebrate an eco-friendly festival and immerse idols in artificial tanks. He also advised people to dispose of Nirmalya in designated Kalash containers.
