A barter scheme has been launched in Mumbai where locals exchange plastic waste for school benches. Collected beach and household plastics are processed, moulded, and transformed into benches for government schools. The initiative, started by the Thane-based NGO 'Khushiyaan Foundation', is the brainchild of the organisation's founder, Chinu Kwatra.
