Former Uruguay striker Diego Forlán, who played for Manchester United and Atlético Madrid, is set to make ATP tennis debut at the upcoming Uruguay Open next month. The 45-year-old retired from football in 2019. He made 112 appearances for Uruguay and played an important role in his team reaching the 2010 World Cup semi-finals and winning the 2011 Copa America.
