The Supreme Court has recalled its May 16 judgement that had barred the government from granting environmental clearance for projects ex post facto (clearance for projects after commencement). The court allowed the government to grant such environmental clearances, stating that demolishing existing structures would result in "throwing the valuable public resources in the dustbin".
