Physicists at Julius-Maximilians University in Germany have created the world's smallest light-emitting pixel. The orange pixel measures only 300 by 300 nanometres but shines as brightly as a regular OLED pixel that's 5 by 5 micrometres, scientists said. It could enable ultra-compact displays for AR glasses and contact lenses, they added.
