BJP leader Amit Malviya said that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee should stop "shedding crocodile tears" for Hindus in Bangladesh. "West Bengal needs to get rid of her to save itself from meeting the same fate as Hindus of Bangladesh," he added. This comes as Banerjee urged PM Narendra Modi to intervene amid several attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
