Election Commission of India (ECI) launched an inquiry after numerous VVPAT (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) slips were discovered dumped near SR College in Shitalpatti village of Bihar's Samastipur district. The slips were used in a mock poll conducted before the first phase of voting on Thursday. The concerned Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) has been suspended for negligence, ECI said.
