Copper prices hit record high of $11,137 a tonne on London Metal Exchange on Wednesday amid fears of a supply crunch, FT reported. Operational disruptions at some of the world's largest mines, US President Donald Trump's tariffs on the metal and a surging industrial demand have fuelled the rally. Copper prices are expected to climb further, according to ICICI Securities.
