Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev incurred a fine of $76,000 (approx. ₹65 lakh) for his behaviour in the ongoing Australian Open. He was penalised for repeatedly smashing the net camera during his first-round win over Kasidit Samrej and was fined $10,000. The remaining fine, $66,000, came for showing aggression during his second-round loss to 19-year-old American Learner Tien.
