MDMK MP Durai Vaiko on Saturday, citing BBC report published in April 2024, said over 5,000 Indians were forcibly involved in crimes in Malaysia, Thailand and other countries. He urged Indian youth to be cautious before moving abroad. He further said that fake BPO job offers in Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines often lead to cybercrime and illegal activities.
