The Indian Navy, in order to expand amphibious warfare capabilities, is expected to issue tender for building four large-sized Landing Platform Dock (LPD) warships at a cost of around ₹80,000 crore, defence officials told ANI. They stated the proposed project, among biggest for surface warship construction, is expected to be taken up shortly by Defence Ministry at a high-level meeting.
