India’s animated film Mahavatar Narsimha has officially entered the race for the Best Animated Feature category at the 2026 Oscars. The film features among 35 global titles that qualified after meeting the Academy’s eligibility criteria. The final shortlist of nominees will be announced on December 16. The film has been directed by Ashwin Kumar.
