The US Embassy in India has denied reports of the United States of America selling Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) to Pakistan. It said the US Department of Defense had recently released standard contract announcements, which didn't include "an upgrade to any of Pakistan's current capabilities". The reports had come amid warming of ties between Pakistan and US.
