Lauding the Union Budget 2025-26, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, "I thank PM Narendra Modi for his tremendous decision to exempt middle class from income tax up to ₹12 lakh which will ease inflationary pressures." He also thanked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for "presenting a Budget that will chart a course for balanced growth across the nation".
