At a Dhaka conference, Pakistan’s two most influential clerics pressured Bangladesh to adopt Pakistan-style blasphemy laws and declare Ahmadiyyas non-Muslim, CNN-News18 reported. Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman and Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui called for "Muslim unity", declaring, "From Kabul to Bangladesh, one Kalima – we'll win". Fundamentalist Islamic scholars from five countries attended the gathering.
