A Thane court sentenced Jivan Ashok Vadvinde to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping and impregnating his 17-year-old relative. Special Judge AD Harne found the accused guilty under the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code. The court also imposed a fine of ₹20,000, with ₹18,000 as compensation for the victim.
