India and Sri Lanka on Saturday signed a defence cooperation agreement. The two countries signed an MoU on Energy cooperation, including the development of Trincomalee as an energy hub. Agreements in digital infrastructure, healthcare, trade facilitation and regional development were also signed. PM Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to Sri Lanka from April 4 to 6.
