The NCP(SP) senior leaders convened a meeting in Pune to strategise for the upcoming municipal elections. Leaders instructed the local unit to challenge the BJP's interference in ward delimitation legally, while simultaneously starting the campaign. According to party leaders, the NCP(SP) should "prepare in a way that we would be able to get power again".
