In Mumbai, a 20-year-old man drowned in Zanshi Rani Laxmibai Lake in Borivali, according to the Mumbai Fire Brigade. The man, identified as Mohammad Altaf Sharif Shaikh, was rescued and taken to the hospital, where he was declared "brought dead". Separately, another 20-year-old man, Vighnesh Murgesh Devendram, drowned off Juhu beach after venturing into the Arabian Sea.
