TMC suspended its ex-Rajya Sabha MP Santanu Sen and ex-Bhangar MLA Arabul Islam for allegedly breaching party discipline and engaging in anti-party activities. TMC vice-president Jay Prakash Majumdar confirmed the suspension, Indian Express reported. Sen had criticised police for its investigation into the RG Kar case. Meanwhile, Islam was recently seen in bitter rivalry with TMC MLA Saukat Molla.
