To promote an eco-friendly Ganeshotsav, the BMC has requested that Konkan Divisional Commissioners encourage idol makers to use clay instead of Plaster of Paris. Deputy Municipal Commissioner Prashant Sapkale reviewed eco-friendly initiatives with civic officials and idol makers. The BMC will provide free clay and installation spaces to idol makers and training to staff.
