The Karnataka government announced seven days of mourning following the demise of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, CM Siddaramaiah's office informed, adding that a government holiday has been declared for December 27. Dr Singh, who served as PM of the country for two consecutive terms from 2004 to 2014, passed away at the age of 92 at AIIMS, Delhi.
