After Taliban fighters paraded pants of Pakistani soldiers, several Afghanistan activists called it "93,000 pants ceremony 2.0", referring to the surrender of 93,000 Pakistani soldiers in 1971 India-Pak war. The number "93,000" was trending on social media too. "1971: Surrendered to Indians. 2025: Surrendered to Afghans. Long time, but nothing changed for team 93,000," an Afghan activist wrote.
