China's market regulator said that a preliminary investigation had found that Nvidia had violated the country's anti-monopoly law. China had launched the investigation in December 2024, which was widely seen as a retaliatory action against US' curbs on Chinese chip sector. Under China's antitrust law, companies can face fines of up to 1%–10% of their annual sales from previous year.
