After a phone call with PM Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia-India relations are "based on national consensus". "Under leadership of PM Modi India is pursuing a completely independent sovereign policy and demonstrating highest economic growth rates among world's major economies," Putin said. The call between the two leaders happened shortly after PM Modi's 75th birthday.
