India's net direct tax collection has jumped 7% to ₹12.92 lakh crore in the current financial year so far, according to the latest government data. Gross direct tax collection jumped 2.15% to reach ₹15.35 lakh crore, while total tax refunds dipped 17.72% to ₹2.42 lakh crore. Corporate tax collection rose to ₹6.91 lakh crore during the period.
